Ta wspólna wystawa pokazuje zaangażowanie Holandii w prawa kobiet, równość płci i sprawiedliwość. Różnorodne głosy, udokumentowane przez 17 fotografów 13 różnych narodowości, oferują wgląd w kwestie takie jak seksizm, przemoc ze względu na płeć, prawa reprodukcyjne i dostęp do równych szans. Wybrane historie eksplorują, w jaki sposób kobiety i kwestie związane z płcią ewoluowały w XXI wieku i jak fotoreportaż rozwinął się w sposobach ich przedstawiania. Fotografie pokazują siłę wizualnego opowiadania historii, aby stworzyć wzajemne zrozumienie i wpłynąć lub zmienić nasze poglądy.

Resilience - Stories of women inspiring change / Odporność - historie kobiet inspirujące do zmian
The Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology in Gdansk, the World Press Photo Foundation, the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Museum of Photography in Krakow (MuFo) present the exhibition Resilience. These are stories of women awarded in World Press Photo competitions between 2000 and 2021, highlighting the resilience and challenges of women, girls and communities around the world.
This joint exhibition conveys the commitment of the Netherlands to women's rights and gender equality and justice. Multiple voices, documented by 17 photographers of 13 different nationalities, offer insights into issues including sexism, gender-based violence, reproductive rights, and access to equal opportunities. The selection of stories explores how women and gender issues have evolved in the 21st century and how photojournalism has developed in the ways of portraying them. The photographs show the power of visual storytelling to create mutual understanding and to influence or change our views.
The exhibition is presented at the Pejotka Gallery at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology, 9/11 Targ Drzewny St., Gdansk, Poland, from 17.11 to 08.12.2023.
